minutes of the team 15/04/15
9: 30 am – 10:00 am
In this meeting we started
to choose our positions. As this was our first time all working together, it
took a long period of time to decide who would take each role. This meeting Steven
was elected the chairman and Abdiaziz was the secretary. The matter of this
meeting was discussing ideas and planning the project.
10:15 am – 11:00 am
We have come out a plan
that we will do a day activity at the farm, there will be 4 activities:
Activity 1 is answering the question about animals; Activity 2 is children
coloring in the picture of animal; Activity 3 is salad taste; Activity 4 is
taking photos with animal closely
This was plan A.
We have discussed all four
activities in detail and Yusheng was making sure everyone in the team
understand the plan.
Then Yusheng set some task
for each of the member in the team. Steven and Abdiaziz will be responsible for
activity 1 and going to find out some questions about the animals.
Tunde and Lloyd will be
responsible activity 2,3 and 4 , they will get the pictures for children to
color in and email the farm for all the information that we need.
Yusheng will start working
on the budget. This task will be due in on Tuesday 21st of April.

9: 30 am – 10:00 am
In this meeting Yusheng was
elected the chairman and Steven was the secretary.The matter of this meeting
was discussing the plan and putting in more detail and analysis it. Tunde came
extremely late due to traffic; therefore the group had to tell Tunde everything
they discussed.
10:15 am – 10:45 am
We have discussed Activity 1
of our plans in detail. Activity 1 is where children are able to answer
questions about the animals which live on the farm. Yusheng, our team leader
gave Abdiaziz and Steven a task which was to find out questions about the
animals. This was set last week and due in Tuesday 21th April.
Abdiaziz and Steven successfully completed the task.
10:45 am- 11:00 am
We have discussed the
budget and activity 2 and 3 we have made crucial changes towards the cost and
also discussed activity 3 which Tunde is responsible for. Activity 2 is when
children are able to colour in pictures of different animals on the farm. Also,
children would be able to ride the farm animals (if allowed).
Yusheng set a task for
Tunde which was to get the pictures and ask the farm for permission to ride the
animals. This task was set last week and due in Tuesday 21th April.
Unfortunately, Tunde managed only to get the pictures. He emailed the farm but
didn’t get a reply back.

9:30 am – 9:40 am
In this meeting Yusheng was
elected the chairman and Tunde was the secretary. The matter of the plan was
developing alternative plans. No one in the group was absent.
9:40 am – 10:00 am
We decided to think about
another plan as a backup plan. This was because we thought that it was a lot to
take on. As students, we would struggle to carry out these activities.
10:00 am – 10:30 am
At this meeting one of the
members of our group (Tunde), thought of a good event to host in the college so
we can raise money for the Spitalfields City Farm. This event was about hosting
a game tournament. Whoever won the game tournament would win a prize. The
tickets would cost £2.50 for each player to play. All the money that would have
been made will go to Spitalfields City Farm. However we were unsure that we
were able to host an event in the college so we put this idea on hold.
This was plane B.
10:30 am – 11:00 am
We started to analysis plan
B and finally we agreed that if we were allowed to do plan B then we would go
with this idea.

14:00 pm – 14:47 pm
At 3:10 pm we decided to
have another meeting. Steven thought we could go out to the local area, while
carry buckets, and try to get the public’s attention so they can donate. At
first our group thought it was a great idea but as we started briefly looking
in the detail of his idea, we slowly started to disagree with the idea

After a long discussion,
our group finally reached a decision. The majority of the group decided to keep
going with our plan A and put plan B as a backup.
We discussed about how we
would promote our event. We thought about using word of mouth and posters. This
was because; we would advertise our event in the college. We also discussed
about how we could raise money for Spitalfields City Farm.
3:10 pm – 3:20 pm
Lloyd and Abdiaziz weren’t
satisfied that our activity was not making any money. The rest of the group,
Tunde, Steven, and Yusheng, didn’t mind that the activity was not going to make
money so we followed the majority and didn`t make any change of our plan.

11:00 am – 11:05 am
In this meeting Tunde was
elected the chairman and Steven was the secretary. The matter for this meeting
was discussing marketing research methods and making questionnaires. Every member
of the group was attended the meeting.
11:08 am – 11:45 am
In this meeting, we
compared plan A and plan B. After a lengthy discussion we finally decided to go
with our plan A. But we decided to add some changes. We agreed to take away
activity 3 the salad tasting because it wasn’t necessary. We also agreed to
take away activity 4 which was, children were able to take pictures with the
different animals.

9:30 am – 9:40 am
In this meeting Abdiaziz was
elected the chairman and Yusheng was the Secretary. Everyone in the group
attended the meeting.
9:45 am - 10:15 am
We started our meeting at
9:45 am to make sure that everyone in our team was able to contribute. We
talked about our activity in detail so that everyone was clear on what we were
going to do.
10:15 am – 10:45 am
A member of our group,
Steven, thought of another great idea. This idea involved us going to other
group’s events and trying to raise money for Spitalfields City Farm. Steven
though of this idea before but didn’t explain it. As he explained the idea, we
all started to understand more. Then we started to analyses the advantages and
disadvantages of his plan.
We had a vote to see if we
should do this idea. Fortunately everyone agreed to do this idea.
So we dismissed plan A and
B.
10:45 am – 11:30 am
We then started to list the
types of research we were going to carry out and we have made a questionnaire
for Steven`s plan.
Yusheng gave us tasks to do
which was to do the primary research by using the questionnaire we made.
This task is due in on Tuesday 12th May

9:30 am – 9:40 am
In this meeting Tunde was
elected chairman and Abdiaziz as the secretary. Everyone attended the group
meeting and nobody was late.
9:40 am – 10:30 am
We talked about our primary
data that we collected. Everyone fulfilled the task set. Tunde managed to ask 10
people. Yusheng managed to ask 18 people. Abdiaziz managed to ask 7 people.
Lloyd managed to ask 5 people. Steven managed to ask 10 people. This equaled to
50 people. This was not enough people because we needed at least 100 people to
make our results reliable.
Then Yusheng, gave us another
task to do which was to do more primary research and make sure we ask 100
people. This task will be due in on Wednesday 13th May.
10:30 am – 11:00 am
After, Yusheng listed the
people’s comments; we started to talk about how we could improve our results
till the meeting finished.

9:30 am – 9:40 am
In this meeting Abdiaziz
was elected chairman and Steven as the secretary. Everyone attended the group
meeting and nobody was late. The matter for this meeting was to discussing the
research result and how we going to do the promotion.
9:40 am – 10:30 am
At this time, we have
gathered all the primary data for past two days. Everybody successfully
completed the task and we have the result of 100 people.
Then we started to analysis
the result and putting in detail. In conclusion we have chosen our target
customer.
10:20 am – 11:10 am
We then started to discuss
promotion methods. We decided to use posters and leaflet to promote our event.
We have set some tasks for
each member of the team. Yusheng and Steven will be doing leaflet.
Abdiaziz and Lloyd will be doing the posters.
Tunde will be look through
all the evidence and information our group has done and make sure everything is
relevant. This task will be due in on Monday 18th of May.

9:30 am – 9:40 am
In this meeting Yusheng was
elected chairman and Tunde as the secretary. Everyone attended the group
meeting and nobody was late. The matter for this meeting was to discussing how
we going to do the advertising for our service.
9:40 am – 10:30 am
We have done the poster and
leaflet, we also designed our logo. Then we discussed when we going to do the
event which we have decided to do at the 3rd of June.
After, we discussed how we
going to do our promotion which we are going to hand out the leaflet around
school area, but we haven`t decided when we going to do it, because we
need to email the different college departments so they can print out
leaflet and T shirt for us.
10:30 am – 11:10 am
After discussion we decided
to hand out our leaflet as soon as we got the T shirt, as we need to email
different departments in college, Tunde will be responsible for this, we are
expecting to do all the promotion before 27th of May.

9:30 am – 10:30 am
In this meeting Steven was
elected chairman and Yusheng as the secretary. Everyone attended the group
meeting and nobody was late. It is just a quick meeting to make sure all the
works are done and relevant so we are ready for the event.
As we already have the
leaflet print out, we are going to hand them out tomorrow which is the 27th
of May.

27th may Wednesday
Steven
and Lloyd because personal reason didn't turn up, we were going to hand out the
leaflet, as they did not turn up, we cancel the plan and changed to the 29th of
May Friday to hand out the leaflet. We have done the print out for the T shirt,
now we need to buy the T shirts and put the logo on it, Tunde will be
responsible for buying the T shirts.

29th of May Friday
Yusheng is the only person turned up to hand out
the leaflet and other team member all because personal reason did not.
We have 200 copy of leaflet, I have handed out
around 100 copies then I got an idea which was to give some leaflet to the farm
and let the farm give it to people who visit the farm, because is about fund
raising, as soon as the farm heard about our event, they are happily to help.
The place I handed out my leaflet is Liverpool
street and the market, although there are lots of working class or people in
rush, but as it is half term holiday at moment, so I think Liverpool street can
have lots of families.
It is a busy area especially time between 2 to 5, there
were other people handing out staff, I tried to avoid them by walking away or
choose other street. I have handed out around 100 copies; from the primary
result I knew people who have family and have younger generation are more
likely to visit the farm. So they are my main target to give out the leaflet,
then is people over 50, from personal experience, I think people who are over
50 are more likely to look the leaflet and take the information in to
consideration.

As today is the day we doing the event, this meeting happened before the event start, its to make sure everyone ready and double check with everything.
We decided to start fund raising money by holding a basket at Liverpool street first and slowly walk down though Spitalfields market then to Spitalfields city farm.
14:30pm
After around 2 hours later, we have averred the farm and successfully raised some money.
But the manager told us after we averred the farm, she said that if we want to fund raise money we need certain licence.
Because we don't have the licence so we decided to cancel the next two days plan. As we already raised some money, which it was £8.29. We donated to the farm and decided to finish our even, which is mean we decided to change the three days plan in to one day, therefore two hours money raising for the farm it was our event.
