Unit 18/19 Review and Evaluation

As yesterday was the day we doing the event, in this assignment I will review the success of the event and evaluate the feedback from delegates participating in the event, I will also review the teams overall effectiveness together with the contribution to achieving the goals, receiving and providing feedback to other member. 

The team is made by business course student. I am one of the team members. It is a team that focus on a project joins this summer.  This projects it to start an event at Spitalfields city farm. We decided to do a charity which is to raise money for the farm animal. There are five people in our team and each person is good at different area. Each member in the team has certain set of relevant skills and knowledge. 

I am managing the team which is the team manager. Steven is the team leader who will be responsible for leading the team and coordinating with every individual in the team. Abdiaziz is responsible for marketing such as promotional and advertisement. Tunde is responsible for administration and external communication. 

At the 3rd of June, is the day we doing our event. We had a meeting before the event start at college, around 11:30am, it was to make sure everyone ready and double check with everything in order for us to go down the farm and doing our event. 

We decided to start fund raising money by holding a basket at Liverpool street first and slowly walk down though Spitalfields market then to Spitalfields city farm.

I was doing the recording such at anything special happened and ask people review for feedback. Steven at the front holding a basket and ask people for donate, Tunde was about 10 meter  behind from Steven and holding a basket, he was responsible for asking people who Steven missed out to donate money.Abdiaziz was on the other side of the road and doing the same job as the others.

It was between 12:30 to 14:30, therefore it was really busy. People did put money in our basket not they were not willing to stay and giving us feedback. But at the end we managed to ask 5 people in total.

Everyone in team were putting effort to raise money, for example no one took their phones out and there were no other topic of conversation going on rather than fund raising. 

Then we went in to the Spitalfields market, but within 10 minutes  we got told by the security that the area is private therefore we not allow to fund raising in the Spitalfields market without permission. So we decided to start walking down to the Spitalfields farm. 

At around 14:30pm we have averred the farm and successfully raised some money.

But the manager told us after we averred the farm, she said that if we want to fund raise money we need certain license.

Because we didn't have the license so we decided to cancel the next two days plan. As we already raised some money, which it was £8.29. We donated to the farm and decided to finish our even, which is mean we decided to change the three days plan in to one day, therefore two hours money raising for the farm it was our event.

There was nothing bad or special happened apart of at the end the problem of the license. But this problem can be avoid if we did enough research.

We have asked 5 people in total, because when we were raising money it was between 12:30 to 14:30, therefore it was really busy. 

After they donate the money, no one t willing to stay and talk to us so we were only able to asked 5 people in total.

Five of them they are all people who want to help, they thought it was a great thing to do and it an opportunity to help animal.

In the answer we got from them, we can see they are also animal lovers.

One of the person gave us the suggestion of doing more adverting.  He said if people just see us, no one will know what we are doing, therefore we need to do something to stand out. Firstly can attract people`s attention, secondly it make us stand out more in the public place. A big poster with colour and bold front says “fund raising for the roof”, will probably help.

There was other person was asking different question in detail such as where the money go specifically , why are you doing this fund raise. we've got a bit struggle answer some of his question. Although at the end he was satisfy of our answer but after he left we have got the idea of the importance of perpetration toward information. 

If we have prepare all the information, then we will not be struggle and taking time to answer those question, therefore will be more time for us to fund raise. 

In conclusion, we have successfully finished our event, although there was a bit of problem at the end but I managed to reduce the rick and avoid any inconvenience caused. We have raised £8.29 and we have donated to the farm. It is a good study pathway to all of the students, we have learned and experienced lots of new things which are very useful in future event organize.
